About Adam

Adam Ziccarelli grew up in North Edmonton and comes from an Italian and Ukrainian heritage.

Growing up, Adam played a variety of sports, primarily soccer. Other sports he played are football, hockey, basketball, and golf. 

He currently has a Bachelors' Degree from Concordia University of Edmonton and majored in English. After playing soccer for almost his entire life, Adam had the opportunity to play five years of collegiate soccer, achieving multiple provincial medals with NAIT and Concordia and a bronze at Nationals with NAIT in 2021. Adam graduated NAIT in 2022 with a Radio and Television Diploma. During his time at the program, he applied his extensive knowledge of sports, and expanded on his writing skills from his degree to create professional content for television.

Adam started a podcast in 2020 called On The Pitch Podcast with two friends prior to starting his Radio and Television Journey. The podcast was about everything and anything pertaining to Canadian soccer. The show was put on pause while he was in school due to various reasons.

​

Some hobbies Adam enjoys are watching movies and shows, playing video games, and of course, watching sports with friends. In the future, Adam hopes to cover sports in North America but is always open to covering football (soccer) in Europe. Three companies that Adam wishes to work for in the future would be Sportsnet, TSN, or Onesoccer.
